CAPABILITIES

MAT Foundry Group specializes in the casting, machining and distribution of a variety of brake carriers, discs, drums, and hubs for commercial vehicles and trailers. MAT Foundry Group maintains 7 foundries across 3 continents with a capacity of over a half a million tons per year. MAT Foundry Group also maintains 12 machining centers to support turnkey product availability. With a highly-skilled workforce and an experienced global team of program managers and engineers, the Foundry group is able to a rapid development of new products from concepts to reality.

Calipers

Calipers placed within commercial vehicles are tested to the extreme on a daily basis. In the face of great strain and soaring temperatures they must succeed in bringing the likes of lorries to a halt. Simply put, they cannot fail.

Proven to last the course, these components are found in commercial and heavy goods vehicles across the world and remain a key safety component.

Those produced by our facility in Dalian China are designed to withstand the harshest conditions and can be produced in large volumes or based on specific customer requirements.

Brake Drums

MAT HD’s sister division, MAT Foundry Group, has vast experience designing and manufacturing OE/OEM/OES commercial cast iron braking products including hubs, drums, and rotors manufactured in one of our factories in Mexico City, Mexico or Dalian, China. We develop our rotor metallurgy and design based on extensive product testing and our knowledge of OE performance standards. Our attention to the casting process produces brake discs and drums with equal wall thickness providing for equal brake stress and thermal distribution reducing noise, vibration and harshness.

Brake Rotors

Five separate facilities, spread across five separate countries and three separate continents, combine to cast, machine and distribute rotors fundamental to some of our best-loved performance, passenger, commercial and racing vehicles.

Specialists in all things rotors, we currently machine 15 million of them each year – all to an industry-leading standard.

MAT HD rotors were designed to meet or exceed OE specification. They utilize high tensile G3500 grey iron and a corrosion resistant finish, PM300, to extend vent and ABS ring life. The PM300 aluminum and zinc flake coating provides extended resistance protection.
